Dr. Thomas R. De Vita

Dr. Thomas R. De Vita

Dr. Tom was first introduced to chiropractic when his mother had a severe disc problem and was looking for an alternative to back surgery.  She was helped tremendously with chiropractic and avoided surgery.  This impressed Dr. Tom enough to pursue this vocation in order to help others.  Once he received his undergraduate degree at the University of Hartford in Connecticut, he attended Columbia Institute of Chiropractic in New York City and graduated in 1975.

Dr. Thomas De Vita then moved to the Acton area and opened De Vita Chiropractic.  After a couple of years in practice and always continuing to find better ways to serve his patients, he attended his first Activator seminar and became immediately involved in the usage and development of the technique.  Since then Dr. Tom has been a Senior Clinical Instructor teaching Activator all over the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. He also serves as the Vice Chairman of Activator’s Clinical Advisory Board and was honored as a Fellow of the American College of Chiropractors.  Other accolades include:

      • Past President of Middlesex Chiropractic Society
      • Past Treasurer of Massachusetts Chiropractic Society
      • Former Chairman of Massachusetts Board of Chiropractic Examiners
      • Vice Chairman of National Institute of Chiropractic Research
